Shadows Mean Sun : : Sun Means Hope
Not only did the shadows from the sun shining through the blinds on the chair in our office give me hope, but so did the fact that it is getting dark noticeably later in the evening. I know we need the rain and I'm glad we got it, but it was glorious to see the sun and the bright blue sky today.
Too bad we missed the Full Blood Wolf Moon last night but we did have a prolonged discussion over coffee this morning as to what all that actually means...particularly the 'Wolf'. Interestingly, it is based on Native American names for each month's moon. January is the 'Wolf Moon'. I'm still not entirely sure why this particular eclipse was red.
We were glad to learn that Julia's flight made it to Boston yesterday despite many cancellations due to sub zero temperatures. Her arrival at school was not without incident however, due to the fact that she felt ill all night and went to the student health center this morning where her blood pressure was so high they put her in an ambulance and sent her to the hospital. She was treated with IV fluids and is now feeling fine. The flaky family blood pressure issues rear their heads again. I'm willing to bet that it was a combination of stress and dehydration, but I imagine she will be going through the full investigation. If it's anything like the rest of the family, nothing obvious will turn up making it a perplexing problem....
