Silent night on a Saturday afternoon

Woke up feeling just, well, drained so all plans I had for doing this, that and the other got shelved whilst I just mooched and pottered. The mooching and pottering included stitching some bright red ribbon strips onto the earflaps of a fur cossack style hat to replace the leather ties that had grown progressively shorter over time, rendering them useless.

And here we see me modelling the hat whilst doing a bit of uke practice on the sofa, courtesy of Rol.

He wasn't expecting to see this vision of artistry when he came down from upstairs. I haven't heard him laugh so heartily for ages.

The song I was battering into submission was Silent Night - the plucking bits.

For any ukesters, here's the chords. It's not calypso strum pattern but the other one, which sounds a bit like a waltz:

C// C// C// C//

G7// G7// C// C7//

F// F// C// C//

F// F// C// C//

G7// G7// Am// Am//

C// G7// C// C
