First dog to set paw on new walkway

At long last the Ely Southern Bypass is complete. At the end of October the road bridge was opened which took traffic away from the level crossing at Ely station and crossed the railway and the river. An objection in the planning process was that the bridge would spoil the view of the Cathedral from the south. This is the answer - a separate walkway built onto the bridge taking walkers over the river and giving an uninterrupted view of the Cathedral.
Today it was opened - and  Merlin was the first dog to walk on it! The extras show how the walkway is built (of steel and wood), the view of the Cathedral on this rather overcast day and the same view taken with the zoom and then the 'remove haze' process in Photoshop.
