The brickwork is now completed on the garage rear wall and the aperture for the replacement window is the correct size, so time to unwrap the new window and check it out.
It came as a minor surprise to find that the sill was not included, though specified in the overall dimensions.
It came as a greater surprise to find that the handle for the window was not included - it's needed to open the window to enable it to be fitted, and the holes are pre-drilled. There is a choice of white, silver or brass effect available, but nothing in the description to advise you that you need to order either the handle or the sill separately which would have been helpful.
