Gugggenheim From Above
We had a lovely, generous breakfast (not cheap) on the 7th floor of our hotel in Bilbao, with a terrace overlooking the Guggenheim--a superb view*. The rain which started yesterday continued off and on today (mostly on), with a strong gusty wind. Mid-afternoon we walked to the nearby Museo de Bellas Artes (Fine Arts Museum), where we spent a lovely three hours. The works on view range from the 13th century to the present; Spain dominates, but there are a fair number of interesting things from elsewhere. The extra is a view of the large park behind the museum from the 2nd floor (3rd for us)--an accurate portrayal of the day :) I've marked the map for the museum.
*The blip is a three-part merged panorama, with inevitable distortion of the plants on the right edge of the terrace, which were impossible to shoot over.
