Snow Dog

Dogs love snow. I took Ollie out in it last night and she kept eating it like she does ice. We met my daughter and granddog for a walk this morning. Frankie loves slithering on it and rolling in it. We met Ebony, a lovely old GSD Labrador cross and saw a green woodpecker anting and a female blackbird scoffing berries.

I intended to spend just an hour at Fisher's Green but met a nice man who I have spoken to in the past who told me that he had seen a pair of goldeneye ducks from the Grebe Hide. Off we went. The goldeneyes had gone but a nice man and his collie Velky joined us in the hide. Ollie and Velky got on well. He gave her a piece of sausage and she took it in her characteristic gentle fashion. The light was ace for a short while but unfortunately no birds in shot at the time.
