Across the Forth

An interesting walk starts at Culross and heads round Preston Island from which there are good views across the river of Bo'ness and Blackness while downstream the two Forth Bridges can be seen. There are also the ruins of an old salt mine with information boards describing their origins. the weather for the most part today was cold and overcast but as I rturned to Culross the sun briefly broke through above the refinery at Grangemouth and glinted on the water and mudflats of the river.
