Robert the Bruce

A very bleak dark winter's day today. I varied the Sunday walk slightly to have a look at how things are progressing at the Bannockburn site. I must admit to being favourably impressed as theRotunda surrounding the Borestone has been very skilfully refurbished and the new visitor centre is beginning to look quite attractive. The statue of Bruce has had a complete clean and is I think looking very imposing. Although against a somewhat dismal background it is a striking piece of work.
