Weekend Away

It is a four-day weekend, and we are two people, but we seem to need a lot of stuff. This pile doesn't include my downhill skiing gear (boots, outer clothes, helmet) which is already in the car, or the two pairs of X-country skis and my downhill skis. And there's a bag of frozen food, still in the freezer.
The gear required seems to expand to fit the available space. Here we have a car we can fill so suddenly lots of stuff is necessary.  If we were flying somewhere there would be less kit, but then we wouldn't be trying to do two sorts of skiing and taking our food with us!
Anyway, we are looking forward to seeing old friends, having fun in the snow, eating great food, enjoying the sauna, and maybe having a drink or two.
