Back to the Lake

We repeated our trip from yesterday. Since it was easier, with much better glide in our day-old tracks, we went a little further along the lake. It was a bit warmer, though still safely below freezing.
There was no more snow so there was still a fair bit of grass in our tracks.  Normally we wouldn't go out with this little snow but we are headed for the mountains soon and felt we needed something of a warm-up.
I think Jan chose her clothes especially for their photogenic properties, cerise against the snow certainly shows!
The weather forecast is promising up to 20 cm of new snow while we are away so it may be much better snow when we return home.
