Leighton Moss

A Camera Club trip to RSPB Leighton Moss . My first visit, many of the pools were frozen. I am a complete novice bird indentifier. I saw many that I do not know the names of. The best photo by far, however, was of one I definitely recognised. One extra is a water rail- a bird I had never heard of, nor seen before but someone had some meal worms and coxed it close to the path. The other extra shows  some of the unidentified birds and the fact it was so foggy the water and the sky were the same colour - white. No wonder the robin won the day.
