Big Weekend – Arthur’s Seat

Today we were orienteering on Arthur’s Seat and it was decidedly cold and windy, although it was bright. We had a high start and spent time on Whinny Hill before going to Meadowfield Park and back and then off to the back side of Salisbury Crags before the finish. There is a relatively new map, that isn’t a patch on the old one it replaced, and my course wasn’t too inspiring unlike yesterday’s course. We had a wee walk afterwards to ‘warm down’ and went up to St Anthony’s Chapel before heading back towards the assembly. The blip shows the tents with Calton Hill behind. There are 10 cranes in and around the St James Centre development.
