A Year in Phnom Penh

At the end of the line

Our speedy (they get up to 30mph) and bumpy ride on the norry (local word for small bamboo carts loaded on wheels and propelled along a train track on wheels) arrived at a dead end, where we were politely ushered to a low table and sold drinks by poor villagers and their children (did we have tourist written on us?).

I mock but actually it was one of those moments I actually relish in Cambodia, as with my small amount of Cambodian I can make small chat and they love it and you get a glimpse of what life is like for most people in this country (as opposed to what I usually see in Phnom Penh)..that is slow-paced, basic and just watching the day (norries) go by.
