Bridges

Very windy overnight and this morning but after a leisurely Sunday morning, I decided to go for a stroll by the River Don. This is the spot where the 5 Weirs Walk begins and where I started my walk. It's not far from the city centre and follows the river to Meadowhall, although I didn't walk that far today. There was very little on the water today, although I saw a mistle thrush and a couple of grey wagtails. I also saw a flock of about 30 waxwings a few hundred yards from here flying over in the direction of Tesco. Amazing how so many of the sightings reports in South Yorkshire include the name of a supermarket or retail park. I wonder if they come all the way from Scandinavia for the shopping.
