Signs Of Life

It finally stopped snowing in Finland. When I ventured out around noon to take some pictures and looked at the fresh snow (more than 50 cm now even in Helsinki), I remembered the photo of a snow surface otherwise unbroken except for the signs of an owl coming to catch a rodent below the snow, leaving the signs of the wing feathers on the snow. I daydreamed of being able to catch similar signs. To my surprise, I saw a bit similar signs close to the end of my walk. But these have not been left by an owl, I think - my gues would be a blackbird based on the wingspan.

The extra shows old footprints in the snow, almost covered by the freash snow but still somehow visible.
