Fruitless

Boy has it been cold today....the snow that fell yesterday lingers. Early this morning we could hear it crunching under the wheels of neighbours cars as they embarked on their journeys to work...poor devils ;-)

Sis came over for a few hours today.....had her nails done, then the 3 of us went out to a local Garden Centre/Pick your own, which has a great cafe. They tend to use local produce, mostly their own.......so today me and sis had Fried Black Pudding, with vegetable hash topped with a duck egg, it was soooo nice!!
Hub had a chicken and stuffing bagette with coleslaw, which he thoroughly enjoyed too!

We had a nosy around their Shop afterwards, we bought some veg and one or two,other bits and bobs. Sis hit the road to heD home, whilst we took a quick walk around outside, so I could find todays blip. Not a lot going on just now, as you can see........so a pretty fruitless expedition ;-)

We stopped off at another garden centre on our way home, not sure whether it was a good move or not, it cost us £100 in footwear and possible a few thousand more, as we have seen a summerhouse we quite like for in the garden :-) That is a discussion for us to have over the next couple of days ;-)

Just had cottage pie topped with celeriac mash for dinner, well, my half was, hub's half had mashed potato on top :-) Lost a little more weight again last night, despite 3 iffy days of 7, so was happy with that :-)

Still coughing and spluttering, but not too bad.
Will be off to the Quiz shortly, so fingers crossed........might have to wear my new boots ;-)

February tomorrow already.......although January does seem to have been a long month !!
