On the day snow was expected

I cleared out my desk! But not just because I thought I needed to do so, but because a new desk is coming tomorrow, weather permitting.
The desk will match my new bookcases, new curtains too. It’s been a lot of sorting out!
No snow here as yet, but the forecast is not good! Snow is coming from the West and the roads in Devon and Cornwall are impassable.
