Vortex

A sunrise during a polar vortex is always a surreal experience.  This is the view of my usual sunrises, and it is basically unrecognizable with the build up of snow and ice.  Throw in the mist and the waves splashing up against the snow/ice, then freezing...and it is a spectacular sight.  At times, it looked like I was looking at a volcano of water and ice when the waves would shoot up into the air and then fall as mist and ice.

The buses were cancelled again today due to the severe cold but two of my students were driven in.  Today was a gong show with a new schedule, everyone stressed, disputes.....blah.  At least tomorrow is Friday  ;)
