Water Power
There's a car park just across from Prestongrange Industrial Heritage Museum. You can stop there and walk along a bit of the John Muir Way towards Prestonpans and Cockenzie power station. We went there this morning for some fresh air.
It was certainly very bracing down there. By the time we walked to Prestonpans we were all freezing. I wanted to walk on a wee bit further to photograph the waves that were breaking up on the part of the walkway you see here. Only Charlie was also keen to get that close to the spray so we set off; me under a promise to keep him safe the whole way along. It was not easy to do this as it was not possible to avoid the pools of water gathered on the path, the surface was very slippy and the wind was biting as it whistled around this corner.
When we got back to the car we could barely feel our faces. When we got home I made hot chocolate and Fiona made a pan of soup. Order and comfort was quickly restored.
