A Solway Lapwing

There's always lots of wading birds on the Solway mud flats but I don't always have a camera on me with a zoom. So this morning it was sunny and bright so I took my zoom camera with me. I took lots of shots of various birds including a heron, but this one was my favourite. I had no idea what it was until I found it on the internet.
