Old Maple

A fleeting exploration of the outdoors due to the Polar Vortex that gave us a high temp of -17F and the prospect of 10 degrees colder overnight. It was fairly breezy and the hanging twig in the upper left alludes to that. I was able to use a fairly high shutter speed thanks to the bright sun.

I've always liked the bark on this maple, it's shape with all the knobbly bits and the rich colour.
