Read the Email
It was our tutor workshop in Oxford today. I had a good night's sleep, especially as I was tucked up in a warm hotel rather than a cold house!
The day started off slightly badly....I needed post-it notes for an 'Open Space' activity I was running. Unfortunately, there were none in the box. Hmm...."why are they not in the box?" I asked. "Did you not read the email that asked you to specify everything you needed?" I was asked. "What email.....?" Gahhh...schoolboy error as I pride myself on replying to all but the least important emails. The next half hour was spent running about shops in a random town trying to buy some! Grrrr....I broke The Rules and got them in Tesco. Does it count if I used someone elses money?
After that, i was happy with how my bit of the day went, especially as facilitating discussions with people who really care about their roles can be pretty challenging. My presentation later in the day was cut from the planned 30 mins to 12 mins as there had been a slight overrun earlier and I though the next session was more important than mine.
Blip opportunities were limited as everyone hid or posed as soon as I got the camera out!
The drive home was pain free and I was glad to get to bed after a very long day!
