Black Headed Gull
Today’s picture is of a Gull although what species I do not know. It was sitting on the bank of the River Cam by itself although there were a lot more flying about and swimming on the river.
We went to Cambridge today as we thought it would be a good day to get some photographs of “reflections” as this is the topic for the next U3A photography group. It seemed calm, but there was enough wind to make ripples on the water and although we took some pictures the reflections were not particularly good.
Just as we were leaving this area, someone spoke to us asking if we had got some good picture for blip. It was martindawe; we had walked past, but not recognised him. We stopped for a chat, before going back into town to browse the shops.
We stopped as usual for coffee and cake, but did not eat lunch in town. By lunchtime everywhere was very busy with large queues, so we came home.
At noon, it was three degrees Celsius in Cambridge and also where we live, but there were two light snow showers (according to our daughter) in our village so I shall include another sparkly white row in my temperature blanket.
