Little dog, big stick

We met four dogs on our walk round the woods this morning.  The first one was a two year old black Cockapoo with unusually straight fur and was being walked by K's teenage son, who didn't seem at all pleased to be out.  "Is she good company?"  I asked.  "No" he said, grumpily.

This was dog No. 3, a cross between a Norfolk Terrier and a Patterdale.  Every time it put this huge stick down to be thrown again, it yapped.  It was amusing but I can't do with yappy dogs.
