Pootling

Chatted again about building decisions and their difficulty (for me at least!) before heading over to Tom Kitchin's newish place in Bruntsfield for breakfast. The food was very good, but the coffee and toast was a bit hit and miss. Still, they had a nice floor (noticed because I've recently found that's a whole extra area of decision making I'll have to engage with soon!) and great bacon. 
Then we headed over to Fort Kinnaird to browse flooring and bathroom options....not that we were very inspired....before dropping S off to head home via train and then I made soup for the week and dinner, worked through applications for long-listing selection process tomorrow and did the laundry, 
Decided to make dinner as advised by Nigel Slater this morning....love the way long slow bakes like this bubble over the edge of the dish. The pudding was good too - although I adapted the recipe by using rhubarb. Yum!  
Quiet evening before a busy week....
