The Mole Arrives

At long last we have Yorkshire Water here to replace our leaking Mains Water supply pipe.  Lots of digging - see extra - and lots of looking down holes.
The highlight of the day was 'the mole' which burrows itself underground and pushes its way (by vibration) through the soil so that a new plastic water pipe can be laid in the tunnel it has made.
Fascinating technology, and so exciting when it emerged into the daylight....:-)
Unfortunately a hidden underground wall has caused something of a problem and is taking some time to penetrate.  This meant the job couldn't be completed - they will be returning tomorrow.....
