Fading Glory....

This roses are still a rich colour despite being past their best. Faded glory..... we have three plants as standard roses called “Burgundy Iceberg”. It has been stiflingly hot here today. Luckily Maisie had an early walk. The pavements would have burnt her feet if we had gone out later. There is a brisk northerly wind blowing. Marlborough and Nelson are tinder dry, as I type there is a large fire in the Tasman area. Good luck to all the fire fighters there ... and fingers crossed for rain!
