Book group outing ...

.... to see Mary, Queen of Scots at Filmhouse with supper beforehand.

Enjoyed the film, especially how it explored contrasting approaches to being a sovereign and a women. 

Some liberties taken with history but that is often the case with dramatisations of Mary & Elizabeth. I was more perplexed by some of the geographical liberties - with mountain ranges (and I mean mountains rather than hills) surrounding Holyrood.
