Warmth in the grey

This spiky sculpture has a softer story. It commemorates London Council workers who lost their lives during the world wars. Each spike represents a life and death. Today's trip mainly required being a calming influence and trying not to laugh hysterically. Especially when one of my team described talking to a colleague to be as much use as discussing with a pair of socks. It's hard work pretending to be a grown up.
