What do we hear?

This is what I found in my camera today from yesterday at the island..… it looked so nice, (as opposed to grey Seattle) I’ve decided to cheat just a little and post it today…  We had walked around our bay ..this cliff is at least 30-35 feet high… A whole bunch of seals were sunning themselves (here’s 5…extra) ..we thot we were being very quiet but they all jumped in that beautiful  water at once straight up with their eyes looking right up at us.    You can see 9 here but there were more..... Seals have no external ear flaps (like sea lions do) but they sure do hear us!  

The sun was throwing stars on the water….all around them…HERE

Not supposed to start snowing here til tomorrow...snow and very high winds predicted for the southern gulf islands starting tonight.   We might just have made it out if we had stayed one more day...but we would have been nervous, so I'm glad to be here remembering the lovely day yesterday.
