The fit bit broke

Eish !

The strap has been giving "problems" for weeks, but this morning, it came apart, literally.  A little piece of plastic fell off.  Now the strap will NOT lock onto my wrist.

Desperate,  I tied it on, with an old stocking and went to STEP.

Not exactly a fashion statement.

But............. I'm still accumulating steps and getting the dollops of dopamine, this brings.  Happiness is !

PS.  Obviously strapping it on with a stocking, is not a long term solution.  Replacing the strap, is.  Discovered this is not going to be an easy task.  South African retailers are happy to sell you a fit bit, but not so keen on selling you a strap - guess the margin isn't big enough.

I have, reluctantly, ordered a strap from an on-line retailer.

The experience was NOT wonderful........

The strap costs R 80, and the delivery is R 120.

R 120 = extortion.

But it will delivered quick quick.

WRONG !

When I pushed the buy button, I was led to believe, the company had 9 straps in stock.  When the order was confirmed i.e. the money had left my bank account.  I was told, they will be ordering from overseas, so it would take up to 21 days and I should expect to pay more.  The more, would be customs duty.

As is said................ it was NOT a happy shopping experience.
