Grand Canal

Looking over breakfast from the roof top terrace down the Grand Canal was magical this morning here in Venice. The Santa Maria Dela Salute dominating the view here with the Piazza San Marco on the right already bringing in the tourists.

A day in Murano and yes we went back to our all our old haunts and yes enoyed the positive compulsory retail therapy which only Murano offers. Beautiful wine and food for which the Italians are famous, sunshine and views of the most stunning architecture and rides in water taxis which were just fun.
