Carnforth to Hest Bank

From #127 Thwaite End Bridge to #117 Highfield Drive Footbridge , about 5km.  This is #118 Hest Bank Bridge. Many lovely old buildings next to the canal and some fancy new ones. I liked the door in the building on the left which opens directly into the canal but has rings either side of the door so you can moor up and step in.  Guests leaving drunken parties must be careful. 
Snaefell1883 asked me to look out for #126 because she remembers delivery lorries not being able to get over it. Photo of #126 in extras, it seems the road has been removed and the route grassed over.  The bridge was built in 1797 but I cannot find out when the road was removed.  It can't be that long ago because I did see a map with the road on it although cant find it now.
