As long as I can see the light
Ever since schooldays, I have always slept badly on Sunday nights. I'm not the only person like this. There are a few of us who dread Mondays. No! I am not putting The Boomtown Rats' 'I don't like Mondays' as my track. It's just an old bad habit.
It was a strange start to the day. After a wild weekend where the wind howled around the house and you could hear the sea breathing heavily, to wake to total still and silence was a little unnerving. When I got upstairs and put the kettle on, I was marvelling at the contrast from the bending trees of yesterday while my work laptop started up.
It was a pretty good day! There were no disasters, just a load of help desk calls today. I was amazed when it got to 3pm. Time had flown and I logged off gratefully at 3.15pm to go out with Mom for a walk to WHSmiths for cards and stamps, the station for my ticket to Glasgow Airport on Sunday and finally M&S for hot chocolate to warm up before going home. I took this picture out of the window we were sat near. I thought the gold cardboard Christmas tree on the widow sill looked quite nice with the cheerful snowman light across the street outside. It was only later when I spotted the lamp on the wall below.
Track - another great one from Creedence Clearwater Revival / John Fogerty - As long as I can see the light
