That's how it begins....
Yes, '....that's how it begins' is in the lyrics to my track today. I wonder if that's how it ends too? Sorry, I'm waffling already but have a lousy stiff neck and a headache where the dancing lights in my head are making it a bit hard to concentrate. Good job I downloaded the only picture I took today earlier.
Such is life. Everyone has an off day. I guess this is another one of my many off days! It was a quiet day workwise which I was glad about not feeling great.
Remember I told you that working from home so often, I end up taking deliveries for most of the street? Well for a change yesterday when I was at the office, I got an email from Amazon saying that my package had been left with Helen at number 16! I was really surprised and went a few doors further down to see Helen who I'd never met before. She seemed pleasant enough and I thanked her for saving me a trip to the sorting office. Modern living eh? I was amazed at getting an email telling me all that information. Hmmmm. I just thought..... They never ask me my name when I take in deliveries for the rest of the street. Do they just write 'Your package has been left with the nosey, sour faced old witch' and they know exactly who I am?
Anyway, I was home working today and my usual Leith calendar and 'Greetings from Edinburgh' card arrived from my lovely landlord David Kay mid morning. Did I tell you he is putting me in that wonderful room upstairs at the front of the house again at the end of March next year? I stayed in that room in September and loved it. I used to always be in the lodge round the back.
Tesco Man strangely delivered to number 16 (Helen!) at 9:30 and then came back to me at 10. I asked if that was him earlier and asked why he didn't do me early instead of having to come back. Get this! They aren't allowed to deliver early. They'd know too back at Tesco if he called too soon by the time the computer was signed. They also know if one of their vans goes over the speed limit. If the driver goes 10mph over the limit, it's instant dismissal! Hmmmmmm....broken eggs too I reckon.
Oh well. There endeth Tuesday. The picture looks a bit odd but I had a bleary kitchen window and the angle of my shot caught the smears! I had to enhance things a bit. The gargoyle watching the greedy squirrel doesn't look impressed. I must go to the office tomorrow as I'm taking Still Game in for Shauqat. Also, I am having a much needed haircut after work.
Track? A great one from The Searchers again - Needles and Pins
