Trendy dogs
Backblip
Still cold and more icy today so we had to take care not to slip over. We walked the other way round the park to start with. It’s a popular park with joggers and dog walkers. Lots of happy smiling faces and dogs of all sizes dressed in a wide variety of coats. I found it fascinating to see them all.The one pictured was enjoying his walk with his lady owner. He would run ahead and then stop and wait for her. She seemed to know everyone and kept stopping for a chat.
The pond was still frozen with tiny little balls of ice on top.The moorhens were there again , sitting on the ice which looked funny.
We walked along the River Kelvin , water frozen along the edges. We saw a couple of dippers and the mergansers were sleeping on the rocks. We carried on walking towards the Botanics but did not have enough time to go much further so returned the same way.
We picked up our bags and then took a cab to the Theatre Royal to see a play ‘ Rebus , The long Shadow. We had to move seats in the end as we could not see the action at the top of some stairs. Very cleverly done , once we could see the whole stage .
We then walked to the bus station and caught a bus to Edinburgh. The sun setting beautifully over Glasgow. We were staying in a Premier Inn in Queensferry so we had good views of the new bridge.
We ended the day with a meal in the Brewers Fayre.
