Diary of an Edinburgher

Our builders arrived at the appointed time, 11am (actually, more like 11.40). After the obligatory patting of Archie, Peter set to taking out most of the rubble in the now defunct shower, while Andrew discussed his plans with us. It's quite a complicated business, really. But I do think things will speed up from now on. They’re coming at 8am tomorrow! That's serious. More walls built, but beams won’t be in until Monday. And then they went off to the next job.

Libby came to take Archie out about midday. She walked along the canal to Harrison Park, and they had a nice time. A bonus - he didn’t need a foot/beard wash, as it wasn’t muddy.

We then took the bus into Morningside to see our 'Personal Financial Adviser'. We always have a chat about the rugby and we're both betting on England winning the Six Nations. BUT... he told me that Scotland were the final winners of the Five Nations! That's something to hold on to, as I hae ma doots that we’ll ever win the SIX Nations...

JR and Archie walked home, but I got the bus. JR was home first.
