Mooning again.

The semicircular feature emanating from the shadow of the terminator is Mare Imbrium, the 750 mile diameter remnant of a giant impact about 3.8 billion years ago. It subsequently flooded with lava giving it its smooth appearance.
The moon is endlessly fascinating.. or maybe it's just me!
