Lakes and mountains

Today we set off to ride one end of the Golden Pass route from Interlaken Ost to Lucerne and back.  We were at the station early, found the section where our seats would be and waited for our train.  The train was very busy with a large coach party from  Taiwan but as we had booked our seats we had no issues.  We sat back and enjoyed the views and arrived in Lucerne at about 11am.  We went off for a wander around the town and then sat by the lake watching the birds.  We had another wander around the town looking at bridges and buildings before heading towards the station. Our legs are hurting from walking yesterday so it was a very slow walk everywhere.

We got back to the train for our return trip and settled down with a glass of wine (or bottle…) to watch the world go past.  This is the way to travel.

Tomorrow we do the other parts of the Golden Pass, so another early morning.
