Gorgeous Greenfinch
I mentioned that I'd heard a greenfinch singing its wheezing song from the top of the ash tree the other day. Today I managed to capture it, together with one singing from the top of an oak and another in a blackthorn bush. They look to be beautifully healthy specimens. Greenfinches have been impacted by the disease Trichomonosis which is spread by poor hygiene at feeding stations and bird tables.
The nearest thing I got to Valentine's Day image was three robins in the same frame - a love triangle that probably won't end well.
