Secret Snowdrops (And A Dog Violet)

Snowdrops are not "native" to the UK, they were brought here from Europe and Asia Minor and first cultivated in 1597. They were first recorded in the wild in 1778. The three in my blip are all growing wild. The large image is one flower in a clump on the bank of our ditch catching the light. I found the frosted bloom on the left by one of the wildlife paths in our field. The other clump is by a recently dredged pond at Lodge Farm, which is where I spotted the dog violet too.
