Allergens!

It's such a shame tree pollen gives me hayfever, as catkins are so lovely. There's a country road round the corner from us, where we often go for a short walk - there's a little bridge over a culvert which is exactly a mile from the cottage, so there and back is a 2 mile walk and worth doing! These catkins are in the hedge at one point. There's often wildlife in or over the fields - we've seen roe deer and brown hares there often, and today's treats were a circling red kite, and a barn owl, hunting low along the dyke (drainage channel), presumably looking for voles.
