A Sunday sunrise at Fidelis
The quietly protracted celebrations of m-i-l's 99th birthday ended yesterday. Many of the younger family members visited and went to see her in small numbers and for short periods of time. Even so, she found it tiring and slept very well last night.
I was awake early enough to record the sky about ten minutes after sunrise. It is a glorious morning scene on a morning like today. It wasn't early enough for me to be enticed down to run along Erceg's Way, as my Peer Review group met for lunch at Piha (where JJW has his place). Getting there from Fidelis Avenue by way of the apartment was close to two hours of driving. Which didn't leave much time for a run by the water, when we needed to pack up as it could be a couple of weeks before we're back. I did pick all the remaining plums as they would only have fed birds or insects if left.
Almost into Piha, we went past a painted utility box, and I have included a photo of that as an extra
