Another wonderful day
We really are blessed with perfect weather at the moment - probably well deserved as many of our previous visits we have had too much snow and poor weather. Gavin and I were up early again, in the car park by 7.55am and up at the top of the mountain to start skiing by 8.30am! It's been a while since we have had such an early start on the mountain, but it was fantastic - quite warm, not at all crowded, and beautiful bright sunshine with blue skies. I love being the first to ski over those perfectly groomed lines in the morning!
We had another great day skiing. I read a poster that said 'Skiing is the closest thing to flying' - well Gavin certainly went flying today when some thoughtless person skied right across the slope and crashed into him, and did not even stop to apologise. Grrr....I wish they would introduce fines for inconsiderate and dangerous skiing, that's how injuries happen - they also should ban excessive drinking and skiing! (It is not that different from drinking and driving!)
Other than that we had another brilliant day. A coffee stop at our favourite place (same as yesterday) where I took this photo, and lunch out on the terrace in the sunshine with our jackets off. The only thing missing was the boys....
Thomas is thoroughly enjoying his choir tour in Belgium, they have also had time to visit some of the war grave sites. Adam is in Durham this weekend to visit Luke, he has never been before and as Luke leaves there this summer it was a good excuse to go this weekend to attend the annual college fashion show put on by Meriel's college. She is one of the main organisers of this big event and is also modelling in it so it has been a lot of work for her.
Tomorrow more sunshine.....but my legs are getting tired and a bit achy, not sure if I can keep this up all week!
