Woodland Stirring

We woke to sunshine so decided to go to Walderton to walk Merlin.  We took a different route to our usual one, this time going up to into the beech woodlands to the eastern side of the village, then skirting Kingsley Vale, to cut across to Staughton and down the village.  This was the view as we started our walk off the Downs.  The woodlands had a beautiful pink hue as the buds swell in readiness to burst out later in the spring.

After lunch I popped to my allotment and planted my shallot sets.
