It's raining, it's pouring ... !!!

Okay, we've had quite enough of this rain now ... we're ready for some sunshine!! It's been raining on and off, and been decidedly cool, for at least a couple of weeks now here in Alohaland and we're beginning to feel wet to the bone. But despite a little disappointment about not being able to live our Hawaiian dream just as we had envisaged it (yet) - basking in the sun, swimming in the ocean, reading on the beach - life is good, wonderfully good, here in Alohaland. 

Yesterday we had a bit of a bureaucratic incident with our telephones (which continued today, resulting in huge frustration and considerable waste of time) but we got over that and invited Angie and Jeff, Jan and Mitch, and Angelo for an Italian dinner. Tiziano made his special sauce and the dinner was a major success. Very easy going and fun (despite the conversation about US politics). 

Today I was lucky to have my morning walk in the sunshine before the rain started pelting down. At least I'm getting a lot of work done so that I'll be free to enjoy the good weather when it comes. We went to the Y this afternoon and then very happily took up Angelo's invitation to come upstairs for another pasta dinner - a Sicilian recipe with artichokes, asparagus and peas. A really delightful evening chatting together.
