St Mary's Abbey
My brother and sister in law made a surprise visit to see me and have a walk around York which used to be their home town. We headed straight to the Museum Gardens as it was much too nice to do anything indoors. The sunlight lit up the old abbey ruins in all their glory. The extras are the Guildhall taken from across the river and the bell ropes in the tower of All Saints Church in North Street which is an amazing medieval church with beautiful and fascinating stained glass windows dating back to 1402! I'll try to get some pictures of these on another day.
