Sweet Dreams!

Well, here's our new bed all made up in the alcove part of our bedroom.  Thank goodness we had organised for Carlos and his two colleagues to be here just in case it was too big to get up the stairs!  They arrived early this morning and by the time our new bed was delivered, they had dismantled our old bed, lowered it down from our bedroom balcony and loaded it into their van for disposal.  The new bed came into the bedroom the same way . . . it was a bit scary to see the effort on their faces and muscles. They earned their money today and we couldn’t have done it without their help.  

Because of our schedules we hadn't been able to buy new bedding for this new size, so a trip to El Corte Inglês followed to get us enough to make the bed for the first night.   Buying new duvets, fitted sheets, mattress protectors, duvet covers is up there with buying new jeans - to be avoided if possible!  

A headboard will follow in due course.

And we got engaged 29 years ago today!
