Beautiful day
Went to the eye doctor this morning for my follow up. The shield is off now, and I only have to wear it at night when I'm asleep. Its purpose is to keep you from touching or rubbing your eye. The results are AMAZING! Before the surgery my right eye was 20/400. Now, just one day post-op, it is 20/80. I could see just fine before, but now I can see so much better. And, the thing that was most surprising to me is that colors are so vivid and brilliant. The difference is remarkable. People have told me they could see so much better after the surgery than they did before, but I didn't realize how different it is. It takes about four weeks to fully adjust after the surgery, during which time, it continues to improve. Right now, my eyes are not quite synchronized, but watching TV, it gives almost a 3-D effect. Mine is a monofocal lens and is set for close vision rather than distance since I am an organist, knitter and needleworker. But, my distance vision is vastly improved too. I am very pleased with the results so far. Now I see the world in a whole new light!
