C130 (Hercules)

Started the day with a trip to the dentist. Joy. All good, except, some decay under a filling in an upper wisdom tooth. Joy. Options, repair, or best, remove. You've got to be joking. No rush they said, won'' hurt. Yeah right as the Tui ad goes! They are going to think about it a little more, and then in 6 months at my next visit tackle it. I'll start saving ...

Then out to the airport. Walking to the terminal I walked past the US Antarctic Programme base, and by chance one of the Hercs was powering up, getting ready to head to the Ice. Stopped for 15 mins and watched, quiet a procedure and oh so loud. Fantastic. Brought back many old memories, did 6 trips down there, on planes just like this.

Then on a plane a tad more modern, one of the new A320's, Auckland bound. Awesome flight with great mountain views, so I'm a bit sorry all you got was the Herc, meant a lot to me ;-)

Assisting with a focus group tonight with some wannabe skiers, then to dinner with my folks. Nice.
